Information We Collect

What “personal data” means.
“Personal data” (or “personal information”) is information—alone or combined with other information—that can reasonably identify a living individual (for example: name, email address, postal address, phone number, social handles, IP address, and certain analytics identifiers).

1) Data you provide to us.

You may give us personal data when you submit an inquiry on the Site, interact with us on social platforms, register for events, respond to surveys, subscribe to newsletters, or participate in other activities. This may include your name, email address, and any other information you choose to share. If you apply for a job, we will process your application information for recruiting and related purposes.

2) Data collected automatically.
When you access the Site, we (and our service providers) automatically collect technical and usage data, such as your IP address, browser type, device model, unique device identifiers, referring/exit pages, pages viewed, actions taken, and search terms. While this data often does not directly identify you, we treat it as personal data when it can identify you or is linked to you.

3) Cookies and similar technologies.
We use cookies, pixel tags, and similar technologies to operate and improve the Site, remember your preferences, and analyze how the Site is used. Cookies are small files stored on your device; pixels are small code snippets that help measure interactions. You can control cookies through your browser settings (see Your Choices and Controls below).

4) Indirect collection.
We may obtain personal data about you from public sources, social platforms, or third parties. For example, to deliver client services, we may compile publicly available creator/talent details, build event guest lists, or capture photos/video at Timewarp events.

5) Third-party collection on our Site.
Some content or features on the Site are provided by third parties who may set their own cookies or pixels (e.g., platforms like Facebook, Google, and LinkedIn) for analytics, advertising, or measurement across the web. Their data practices are governed by their own privacy policies and terms.

How We Use Personal Data

We use personal data to:

  • Operate, administer, and improve the Site and provide a useful, efficient, and tailored experience;

  • Respond to inquiries, process requests, and otherwise fulfill the purpose for which you provided the data (including evaluating job applications);

  • Enable participation in Site features and events;

  • Develop and enhance our products, services, and events and for other internal business or commercial purposes;

  • Troubleshoot, analyze performance, and store preferences;

  • Notify you about changes to the Site or this Privacy Policy;

  • Provide services to our clients and engage you to provide services to us or on behalf of our clients;

  • Contact you about our events or initiatives;

  • Carry out purposes described at the time of collection or with your consent; and

  • Comply with law and exercise legal rights.

Marketing.
We may use your data to:

  • Provide information about Timewarp products, events, and services via email or advertising on websites and apps; and

  • Improve and tailor promotional messages (including retargeting, interest-based advertising, and use of social platform tools).

Third-Party Websites and Services

Through the Site you may access third-party sites, services, and tools (including service providers and partners) that we do not control. Their collection and use of data are governed by their own privacy policies and terms, which you should review. If you apply for a job through a hosted recruiting portal, the recruiting vendor’s privacy policy may also apply.

How We Share Personal Data

We may share personal data:

  • With our current and future parent, subsidiary, and affiliated entities;

  • With service providers that perform services for us (e.g., hosting, analytics, email/SMS marketing);

  • With social platforms and advertising networks;

  • With sponsors or event partners in connection with ticketed or co-hosted events;

  • To comply with legal obligations, enforce our terms, protect rights, property, and safety, and respond to lawful requests from authorities;

  • With professional advisors (e.g., auditors, law firms);

  • In connection with a corporate transaction (e.g., merger, sale, or reorganization); and

  • With your consent or at your direction.

International Data Transfers

The Site is operated in the United States. If you access the Site from another jurisdiction, your data may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the U.S., where privacy laws may differ from those in your location (including the UK/EU/EEA). See our UK/EU Privacy Policy for information about safeguards we use for such transfers.

Data Security

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to help protect personal data. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data Retention

We retain personal data for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law (for example, to comply with legal obligations or respond to regulators).

Children’s Privacy

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 and the Site is not directed to children under 13. By using the Site, you represent that you are at least 18 or are using the Site with the supervision and consent of a parent or guardian. If you believe a child under 13 has provided personal data to us, please contact privacy@wearetimewarp.com so we can take appropriate action.

“Do Not Track” Signals

Some browsers offer a “Do Not Track” (DNT) setting. We do not currently respond to DNT or similar signals. To learn more about DNT, visit industry resources such as All About DNT.
